Since graduating with an arts degree, it has been my mission to destroy the starving artist trope once and for all.

Hey! I'm Brooke Benson

I stopped budgeting, I created a simple cash flow system for fluctuating income that takes less than 1 hour a month to manage, and I worked on my money mindset.

I used to be a broke theatre arts grad living in a trailer and having weekly panic attacks about money. Now? I’m a financially-confident, self-employed creative living in NYC and on track to be a multi-millionaire in retirement.

So what happened?

I realized my luxury taste didn’t align with the struggling actor narrative, and I wasn’t willing to sacrifice my financial abundance OR my creative passion…so I figured out how to have both.

I got into the trenches with my own money to figure out how to successfully manage fluctuating income as an actor and online business owner, and how to hack my mindset and nervous system so I could ditch the scarcity, fear, and overwhelm around money.

What started as a mission to destroy the starving artist trope in the creative community has now become much bigger. Apparently LOTS of people hate budgeting and spreadsheets (who knew??), not just freelancers. There’s a need for more feelings-focused money management in the personal finance space, and I’m here to do exactly that.
